Winning Again in the Land Readjustment Case

Titan represented a well-known textile agent on money embezzlement carried out by an architect team in a land readjustment case. Taiwan High Court dismissed the appeal in this second instance, and maintained the same judgement from the first instance, which ordered the opponent to return the embezzled money.

This case was led by our managing partner, Dr. Ching-Yuan Yeh, and partner Yi-Wei Chuo, with the assistance of our attorney Mr. Yan-Hong Lin, and jointly represented by our special counsel, Ms. Meng-Chen Du. Dr. Yeh, with an S.J.D. and a J.D. from University of Pennsylvania, has over twenty years of experience and previously practiced at Taiwan’s Lee & Li as well as global law firm Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. Mr. Chuo, who specializes in corporate governance and securities law, was general counsel at Walsin Lihua and Changshu Specialty Steel, and worked in the legal department at FarEastone Telecommunications. Mr. Lin earned an LL.M. degree from National Taipei University, has experience in defamation lawsuit, land disputes, corporate litigations, and contract review.  Ms. Du is a lawyer, arbitrator, and patent attorney. She has more than 20 years of experience of law and specializes in government procurement, engineering disputes, Act for Promotion of Private Participation (BOT, etc.), corporate cases, mergers and acquisitions, arbitration events, civil litigation, and financial technology.
