Public Hearing: “Lay Participation in the Criminal Trial System”

Dr. Ching-Yuan Yeh, our founding partner, attended Legislative Yuan’s public hearing on “Lay Participation in the Criminal Trial System.” He analyzed the pros and cons of “jury system” and “lay judge system” based on years of experience in the United States and Taiwan; he concluded that the “lay judge system” and one-stage full disclosure of prosecution evidence seem more feasible for Taiwan.

Dr. Yeh is admitted to both Taipei and New York Bar. He is also a qualified arbitrator in both Taiwan and China. Prior to founding Titan Law, he worked at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in the United States and Lee &Li in Taiwan.
