Defamation Lawsuit

We represented our client, a former politician, in a civil defamation lawsuit against three public figures, two politician and one news anchor. We forced the defendants to reach a settlement; each of them had released a public statement to apologize to our client; one of them also donated NT$150,000 to a nonprofit organization designated by our client. We took this case from the second instance, and successfully turned over the trial court’s earlier decision.

This case was mainly handled by our senior associate Mr. Yi-Tsang Lin. He earned an LL.M. from National University of Kaohsiung and an LL.B. from National Chengchi University. Mr. Lin is a senior litigator with extensive experience in lawsuit and legal affairs. He specializes in government procurement and criminal litigation.
