Public Construction

We represented a government agency in a public construction; the contractor requested an increase of contract payment of NT$300 million based on the change of circumstances theory. The Taipei District Court ruled in our favor and rejected the opposing party’s 97% claims; our client only have to make payment of around NT$6 million.

This case was mainly handled by our founding partner Mr. Cheng-Yuan Yu, with the assistance of Mr. Yi-Tsang Lin and Mr. Shi-Feng Hsieh. Mr. Yu is a senior litigator with 20 years of experience in administrative, tax and white-collar crime. Prior to founding Titan Law, Mr. Cheng-Yuan Yu worked at several leading law firms in Taiwan, such as Formosa Transnational Attorneys-at-Law and PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal Taiwan.
